Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Eatonu2019s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be located at our Beltsville, MD facility. The expected annual salary range for this role is $99000 - $145000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What youu2019ll do: This position is responsible for supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes and leading the lean transformation across the organization. Additional responsibility includes executing the organizationu2019s strategic plan consistent with federal, state, and local regulations, established industry standards, and customer requirements as well as tooling layout, design& implementation to production, support production team with process improvements & troubleshooting, work with product design on new product tooling & processes, factory layout, and continuous improvement activities (Kaizen events, use of Six Sigma tools, 5S etc.). u2022 Lead continuous improvement and lean implementation using Eaton Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) to eliminate waste, reduce process variations and deliver products to customeru2019s expectations. Lead/ facilitate kaizen events including the Value Stream Mapping Events, process improvements, and strategic initiatives in collaboration with the High Performance Work Teams (HPWT). u2022 Identify and resolves opportunities, gathers and analyzes information, develops and implements actions plans to improve efficiency and reduce cost. u2022 Develop and maintain robust, cost efficient manufacturing processes and product structures consistent with lean manufacturing practices. Understands shop capacity planning related to equipment, processes, and manning. Must be mindful of process and test capabilities and recognize organizational core competencies. u2022 Determine Root Cause and Corrective Actions to resolve issues involving discrepant product or material. u2022 Manage projects and conducts project reviews as needed to ensure successful and timely completion, within budget. Communicates changes and progress status. u2022 Implement methods and practices to reduce variation. Demonstrates ability to understand source(s) of variation and identify impact of tolerance stacks in assemblies. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. + Minimum of two (2) years of Engineering experience in a Manufacturing Environment. + Minimum of two (2) years of experience in CNC programming for milling and turning, . + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. + This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. u00a7 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. u00a7 1158. + No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Preferred Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. + Minimum of three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment implementing Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles. + Minimum of two (4) years of experience in CNC programming for milling and turning, . + Minimum of two (2) years experience with Pro/E, Catia, and Microsoft. + Minimum of one (1) year Project Management experience.
