Accounting Specialist

Description Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join their team in Greer, South Carolina. In this role, you will handle key accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate financial processing and reporting. Responsibilities: u2022 Process accounts payable transactions with precision and ensure timely payments. u2022 Manage accounts receivable tasks, including payment postings, invoice entries, and discrepancy resolutions. u2022 Facilitate credit applications and set up new customer accounts. u2022 Provide customer statements upon request and maintain accurate records. u2022 Prepare weekly accounts receivable and portal reports to support financial tracking. u2022 Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements. u2022 Assist with special accounting projects assigned by the Accounting Manager. u2022 Work closely with operations, sales, and management to ensure accurate accounting of costs, revenue, and expenses. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. u2022 Solid understanding of AR/AP processes, general ledger accounting, and month-end close procedures. u2022 Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. u2022 Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities. u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines efficiently. u2022 Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external partners. u2022 Positive attitude with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and challenges. u2022 Familiarity with NetSuite or similar systems is a plus.
