Electronic Assembler Hiring ASAP

Job Title: Assembler Job Description We are seeking a dedicated assembler to join our team, responsible for assembling electronic components, subassemblies, and systems. You will use hand tools, light assembly equipment, and lead-free solder stations to ensure high-quality and efficient product assembly. Your role will involve following production work instructions and shop orders. Responsibilities + Set up and operate appropriate equipment, tools, and fixtures for product assembly. + Perform soldering of wires and components to printed circuit boards. + Assemble and solder wiring harnesses. + Hand assemble plastic and metal heat sinks and case parts. + Conduct functional testing of work in progress and completed units. + Package finished goods in box and clamshell formats. + Collaborate with the production supervisor to ensure product quality, identifying and resolving assembly issues, and highlighting continuous improvement opportunities. + Maintain a safe, clean working environment. + Read and apply documented quality system procedures. Essential Skills + Proficiency in electronic assembly and small part assembly. + Experience with production, SMT, soldering, and surface-mount technology. + Knowledge of circuit boards, SMT machines, and electronics. + Skilled in using hand and power tools, and mechanical assembly. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Basic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge. + Preferred experience in assembly, wiring, and soldering. + Strong hand dexterity. + Ability to work independently following work orders. Work Environment Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility where all positions are primarily seated. You will be part of a team of 15-20 people. The shift is from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
