Eatonu2019s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift at our Reno, NV facility The core hours are 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $33.11 per hour. The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Below are a few of the outstanding benefits that we offer: + Health benefits effective day one of employment. + Retirement benefits, Paid Parental Leave, Educational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more What youu2019ll do: In this function, you will: u2022 Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical malfunctions on any plant machine, facility system or related equipment. u2022 Installs, troubleshoots, repairs the following systems: o PLCu2019s, HMIu2019s, VFD Drives, Vision Systems, Motor Control Centers, Power Distribution Centers, Motors (DC, AC, Stepper, Servo, etc.), o Three Phase/Single Phase - power and control circuits, Control Panel layout and component installation. u2022 Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with National Electric Code (NEC) codes. u2022 Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment, and new or used manufacturing equipment. u2022 Operation of lift trucks, man lifts and boom lifts to work in elevated locations. u2022 Fabrication of various devices and mechanisms to improve, repair or replace that which is not operating properly or efficiently u2022 Welding, prototyping, plumbing, painting, masonry, piping, and carpentry duties as necessary. u2022 Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: u2022 High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution with 3 years of experience in commercial and industrial electricity/maintenance OR: Technical school diploma OR: An Associateu2019s degree in electronics or commercial and industrial electrical systems. u2022 Previous experience reading electrical/mechanical blueprints and schematics. u2022 Previous experience with CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) & SAP. u2022 Microsoft Office Suite experience (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word) u2022 Experience operating a sit down and stand-up forklift u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Two (2) years of PLC (programmable logic controller) troubleshooting or programming experience. u2022 Five (5) yearsu2019 experience in the electrical field, in an industrial/ manufacturing environment u2022 Previous experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens Software to troubleshoot PLCu2019s, HMIu2019s, and Drives u2022 Journeyman Electrician Certified u2022 Previous mechanical power press experience u2022 Previous roll forming experience u2022 Previous sheet metal fabrication u2022 Previous Gas Metal Arch Welding (GMAW) experience Position Success Criteria: u2022 Must have a valid driveru2019s license u2022 Must be able to work 1st shift for the first 4-6 months for training purposes (orientation, onboarding training). u2022 Ability to interface with vendors to troubleshoot, setup and acquire parts for various types of machinery. u2022 Previous experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) logic circuit troubleshooting and corrective action Working knowledge of production machinery and equipment such as clutch/brake systems, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, compressed gas systems, water systems, & cooling systems Physical Demands: u2022 Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift: kneeling, bending, and climbing required. u2022 Ability to work at heights of up to 40 feet above the floor. u2022 Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. u2022 Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company policy and procedure. u2022 Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas). u2022 Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity. u2022 Indoor and outdoor exposure to weather. u2022 Work environment is exposed to oils, lubricants, and solvents. u2022 #IND123 We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
