Job Title: Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer Job Code: 33175 Job Location: Melbourne, FL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off Job Description: L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr Specialist Model-Based Systems Engineer to support the USAF Advanced Battle Management System Digital Infrastructure (ABMS-DI) Network Developer program. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with all aspects of SysML modeling practices, possessing in-depth knowledge and practical experience with all nine (9) standard diagram types as well as experience in the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), the Agile software development methodology, Design Gate reviews, requirements elicitation and creation, and participate in Customer Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs). This role requires collaborative work across all engineering disciplines and with both internal and external customers. Essential Functions: + Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex systems, ensuring adherence to the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC). + Conduct Design Gate reviews to assess and approve various stages of system development. + Facilitate requirements elicitation and creation, ensuring alignment with customer needs and program objectives. + Participate in Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with customers and internal stakeholders. + Responsible for all aspects of SysML modeling efforts, including initial system analysis, model development, and continuous updates. + Utilize extensive experience in creating all nine SysML diagram types to model systems effectively. + Collaborate across engineering disciplines and with internal and external customers to ensure cohesive and comprehensive system designs. + Provide mentorship to junior-level modelers and engineers. Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. + Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance required. Preferred Modeling Skills: + 5 years of direct experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML applications and tools such as MagicDraw
