Responsibilities include accounting, budgeting, reconciliation, compliance, and reporting for sponsored projects. The position ensures adherence to federal, state, and institutional regulations while providing financial expertise to internal stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university u00b7 3u20135 years of experience in grants and contracts administration, financial analysis. u00b7 Knowledge of fund accounting principles and compliance with federal and state regulations. u00b7 Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications u00b7 CRA certification strongly preferred. u00b7 Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in grant accounting. u00b7 Experience with accounting (Banner, Workday) and advanced Excel skills. u00b7 Strong general ledger experience and familiarity with transactional accounting processes. u00b7 Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams. Job Duties Description of Job Duty Essential Duties and Responsibilities u00b7 Prepare sponsored agency reconciliations, financial reports, letters of credit draws, and invoicing for grants and contracts. u00b7 Monitor financial reports and expenditures of current grants, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions. u00b7 Administer grants and contracts in compliance with institutional policies, federal regulations, and donor stipulations. u00b7 Serve as a subject matter expert in grants management and compliance. u00b7 Prepare monthly and quarterly Federal Financial Reports (SF-425) and other sponsor-required reports. u00b7 Develop and enhance fiscal reporting and analysis tools for ad hoc financial monitoring. u00b7 Prepare detailed listings of all grants and required reports, including budget amendments. u00b7 Perform quarterly reviews of grant billings and reconcile payment discrepancies promptly. u00b7 Follow up with granting agencies on delinquent invoices and maintain an accurate u2018Schedule of Grants Receivableu2019. u00b7 Assist with annual grant renewals or new funding requests, including budget preparation. u00b7 Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures for grant accounting to ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance and applicable laws. u00b7 Develop and maintain a database of grant financial documentation for compliance purposes. u00b7 Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to develop grant budgets and provide financial expertise. u00b7 Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and documentation related to grants. u00b7 Conduct detailed cost analyses to ensure expenditures align with strategic priorities and grant agreements. u00b7 Perform analysis, monitoring, and reconciliation of grant receivables, payables, encumbrances, and expenditures. u00b7 Prepare audit schedules and expenditure reports for SEFA , CAFR , and state annual financial reports. u00b7 Serve as contact for Single Audit and work with external auditors on local/state/federal audits. u00b7 Provide internal technical assistance to grant accountants and act as lead on special grant projects.
