If you enjoy dealing with customers and solving difficult, technical problems, EWI is the place for you.At EWI, the inventory controls specialist will be taking ownership of the shipping/receiving area, as well as the management of the facility's various inventory needs. This will include equipment and materials storage, documentation, and handling, as well as consumables style of inventory. This individual will work with technicians and engineers from all departments to assist with their incoming/outgoing material/equipment and storage needs. This individual will need to have strong documentation and communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of self-motivation. This individual will be required to operate a sit-down forklift as well as a standing reach truck to be able to complete their daily tasks, they will need to be comfortable with power tools, and have basic computer skills.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Back lot gate and shipping/receiving door access controlResponsible for daily forklift and reach truck inspectionsLoading and unloading of shipmentsResponsible for packaging all outgoing materials and equipmentResponsible for creation of labels and scheduling pickups for all outgoing itemsResponsible for proper documentation and communication of received itemsOrganization and tracking of all indoor and outdoor material and equipment storageTimely and accurate completion of assigned storage auditsResponsible for maintaining ownership of all shipping/receiving areas and equipmentAssisting with material and equipment handling on an as needed basisResponsible for taking monthly inventory counts and ordering of required itemsResponsible for ordering maintenance project/repair needs on an as needed basisMust maintain detailed communication regarding owned areas with Maintenance managerAchieve and strive for highest quality standards in workAchieve established work-area cleanliness standards and maintain a high-degree of organization in work area(s)Perform work in a safe manner and adhere to safety programs, processes, and procedures set forth for the specific process and for company safety programs in generalMinimum RequirementsKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Proficiency with inventory management software, ERP systems, label printersPrior forklift/reach truck operation a plusAbility to use hand/power toolsProficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Ability to work well with ever-changing priorities and/or situationsExhibit and maintain positive, solutions-oriented attitude toward work and co-workersExcellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress, despite numerous interruptionsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail in assigned tasks on a consistent basisOutstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associatesTeam-oriented attitude and focus with strong ability to collaborate with othersPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Laboratory/light production floor with ventilation, climate-control system, moderate lighting, and moderate noise level;Use finger
