This position is not open to agency submissions. This position is based at our corporate office in Phoenix, AZ, and follows a hybrid work schedule. Remote work is not available for this role. Candidates must reside within commuting distance, as relocation assistance is not provided. Additionally, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored visa support. Job Overview: The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and operational support to the HR team while gaining hands-on experience in core human resources functions. This role offers exposure to one or more areas of HR, such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits and HR administration. Depending on the area of focus during the internship, the intern may be involved in a variety of the responsibilities outlined below. Key Responsibilities (by HR Functional Area) Recruitment & Talent Acquisition + Assist with job postings and candidate tracking + Screen resumes and coordinate interview scheduling + Communicate with candidates regarding application status + Maintain recruitment files and reports Onboarding & Offboarding + Support preboarding and hiring activities, including background checks, onboarding documentation, and responding to inquiries + Assist with HR audits, compliance, and employee status changes, including terminations + Provide operational support during peak-season ramp-up periods Employee Relations & Engagement + Assist with responding to basic employee inquiries + Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and events + Help document employee relations activities as directed Training & Development + Assist in scheduling and tracking training programs + Prepare training materials and attendance records + Support learning initiatives and development reporting Compensation & Benefits + Assist with data entry and audits related to compensation and benefits + Support benefits enrollment processes and employee communications + Help prepare reports and summaries for HR review HR Administration & Compliance + Maintain and update employee records and HR systems + Assist with preparing HR documents such as letters, contracts, and reports + Support compliance efforts by tracking required documentation and acknowledgments + Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of HR data HR Projects & General Support + Participate in special HR projects and process improvement initiatives + Conduct research on HR best practices as assigned + Provide general administrative support to the HR team + Serve as backup support for the Corporate Receptionist as needed, which may require onsite presence on Mondays and Fridays. Qualifications: + Currently pursuing or recently completed a bacheloru2019s degree, with an expected graduation date within the next year. + Ability to work on a hybrid schedule, with in-person attendance at our Corporate office in Phoenix, AZ Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Mondays and Fridays. + April and May are critical business periods, and we ask interns to plan accordingly as time off will not be available during this time, due to peak season demands. + Willingness and flexibility to work two to three weekends beginning in April through the conclusion of the seasonal hiring period to support weekend coverage rotation. + Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with candidates, employees, and stakeholders. + Demonstrated leadership potential, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
