Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a visionary Environmental Department Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead and grow our dynamic environmental team in Nashville, TN. This is a high-impact leadership role designed for a seasoned professional who excels at the intersection of technical excellence, client advocacy, and team mentorship. At GTA, you won't just manage projects; you will shape the strategic direction of our environmental services, navigate complex regulatory landscapes for our premier clients, and cultivate the next generation of industry experts. Core Responsibilities + Strategic Leadership: Champion the professional evolution of our environmental team through active mentorship, technical leadership, and high-level resource management. + Technical Excellence: Provide senior-level oversight and quality assurance for technical environmental proposals, complex reports, and strategic work plans. + Client Advocacy & Liaison: Act as a primary consultant for client legal counsel, facilitating the preparation of Brownfield Voluntary Agreements (BVA) and Notice of Land Use Restrictions (NLUR). + Regulatory Diplomacy: Interface directly with state regulatory agencies, including the TDEC Division of Remediation, to drive project approvals and maintain GTA's sterling reputation. + Business Growth: Lead marketing and business development initiatives, identifying new market opportunities and deepening existing client relationships. Requirements for this role include: + A valid Tennessee Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. + A minimum of 15 years in environmental consulting/engineering, with at least 10 years in a dedicated Project Management capacity. + 10+ years of experience successfully leading and developing a multidisciplinary staff of environmental professionals. + Deep familiarity with: + ASTM Standards: E1527-21 (Phase I), E2600 (Vapor Encroachment), and E1903-19 (Phase II). + Federal Guidelines: All Appropriate Inquiry (40 CFR 312.21/22), RCRA, and CERCLA. + Tennessee Specifics: TDEC VOAP, Brownfield Projects Voluntary Cleanup, and Vapor Mitigation Guidance. + Emerging Contaminants: Technical proficiency regarding PFAS.
