Overview Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation - Outpatient Occupational Therapist (Certified Hand Therapist) Full Time Dallas, TX (Downtown) Select Medical complies with state and federal wage and hour laws. Compensation depends upon candidateu2019s years of experience and internal equity. Washington Ave is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team in an adult OP setting. The ideal candidate must be a Certified Hand Therapist and have a desire to train and mentor within our AOTA Hand Fellowship program. The candidate will collaborate with the OT and PT teams in-house and have a desire for mentoring other OT's across the company. Experience and proficiency with splinting skills would be required. We primarily treat orthopedic injuries and conditions but also some high-level neurologic conditions on occasion. Situated on the campus of a level-1 trauma center, we frequently see multi-trauma patients, tendon transfers/reconstructions, traumatic amputees, as well as nerve grafts. We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to collaborate current relationships with our established as well as new and potential referral sources. + Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment + Patient Case Load Average: 8-10 patients a day + Timely and accurate documentation using Therapy Source + Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reports + Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately + Promoting continuous quality improvement + Instructing and counseling patients/families as needed Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: + Successful completion of those educational requirements as mandated for state licensure or eligibility for a license in Occupational Therapy + Current State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of practice + Hand Therapy Certification + Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required + Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients Additional Data _Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans_ Apply for this job ( Share this job Job ID _355747_ Experience (Years) _2_ Category _Occupational Therapy_ Street Address _411 North Washington Avenue, Suite 3900_
