Eatonu2019s CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift. This role is based out of Raleigh, NC. As a Production Supervisor, you will be an integral member of Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Operations Team, with responsibilities to plan, coordinate, supervise and motivate the activities of all employees of the assigned product lines at Raleigh Plant Operations (RPO). In addition, you will utilize the employees assigned to other product lines to meet or exceed our safety, quality, delivery, cost and efficiency goals, while assisting the Operations Manager in implementing plant wide initiatives. The expected annual salary range for this role is $83000 - $122000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What youu2019ll do: u2022 Provide direct supervision for production employees in assigned area. u2022 Participate in employment, staffing and performance management decisions, and maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance. u2022 Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development. u2022 Plantwide Continuous Improvement initiatives stemming from RPO Key Projects and others as deemed by Focus Factory and Plant Managers u2022 Maintain all departmental, work, vacation, overtime and related schedules. u2022 Develop and implement schedules and manpower requirements to meet or exceed production plan. u2022 Plan and prioritize departmental as well as plant wide production schedules based on customer delivery dates, efficiencies, and material supplies. u2022 Monitor departmental and plantwide productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded. u2022 Perform all duties assigned by management and deemed pertinent to the continued success of Eaton and employee objectives and/or goals u2022 Champion the use of Eaton systems and tools to ensure appropriate execution within assigned areas u2022 Engage employees in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving. u2022 Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture. u2022 Foster an environment that promotes Eatonu2019s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement. u2022 Communicate company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced. u2022 Communicate effectively with other departments to expedite the workflow and ensure the established quality expectations. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment. u2022 Minimum of 3 yearsu2019 experience in Manufacturing Operations or Engineering in a manufacturing environment. u2022 Minimum 1 years of direct supervisory experience. u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. u2022 Relocation is not offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the Raleigh, NC area to be considered for this opportunity. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Lean Manufacturing experience/certification u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite u2022 SAP experience Skills: u2022 Ability to successfully interface with all organizational levels & departments u2022 Good understanding and positive support of standard personnel and administrative policies, practices and legal requirements pertaining to business operations u2022 Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, manage through conflict, and strive for continuous improvement u2022 Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems and engineering processes. u2022 Must be open and available to work weekend overtime as needed. u2022 Required working knowledge and experience with computers.
