You will have the opportunity to participate in company training opportunities, events, and community volunteer opportunities. + Reviews quantity survey assignment with lead estimator + Performs general sub-trade solicitation duties + Bid document control + Performs bid day assignments + Sub-trade bid reviews and recapping + Visits job sites periodically + Use of in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating) + Develops relationships with subcontractors + Other duties as assigned Qualifications u2022 Pursuing an Associateu2019s or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or similar degree u2022 Must be authorized to work in the US PCL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g. H1-B, etc.) for this position u2022 Any experience using the following; On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel and Word, Revit, Acrobat, and other computer software u2022 Required to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners u2022 Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and perform quantity take offs u2022 Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test Skills that are a Plus for the Estimating job stream: u2022 Knowledge of unit pricing and a general understanding of conceptual estimating u2022 Prior experience working in construction u2022 Have a general understanding of contract agreements; Lump Sum, Design Build, Project Management, Construction Management, Public/Private Partnership The estimated hourly wage range for this role is $20 - $24 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications.
