The Iowa Department of Education seeks a dedicated data manager responsible for monitoring data base operations for functionality, accuracy, efficiency and security. This position will be an integral member of the Bureau of Nutrition and Health Services Data, Reporting and Program Support Team. Your Responsibilities: + Gather data for bureau operations, reporting and information requests from data system, spreadsheets, surveys and other data sources. Develop narrative and graphics for written reports + Serve as the liaison with data system contractor(s) to translate business requirements into accurate and functional database + Manage service requests and access requests received from end users (i.e., school food authorities, child care centers, etc.) + Resolve issues through data improvement or configuration changes or recommend improvement or fixes to established data system(s) + Develop proposals and data flows and share recommendations for efficient process implementation with project teams + Ensure and maintain data security, privacy and maintenance configuration settings for bureau data system for data integrity + Direct the implementation of multiple, concurrent system enhancements in collaboration with bureau management analyst 3. Plan and conduct system testing and coordinate with bureau end users. Document testing outcomes.
