Shipping and Receiving Specialist

PPS is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist for our production facility in Parma This position will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment while maintaining quality and productivity standardsThis is a full-time permanent position with excellent benefits including cash bonuses and an on-site gym, and high potential for growth and advancementu00a0u00a0Responsibilities:u2022 Studies Work Orders, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods to meet shipping and receiving schedules.u2022 Enters Data in the System as events transpire to ensure Accuracy and Real Time Information regarding Status of Materials Received, Finished Goods on Hand and Product Shipmentsu2022 Determines product identification, accuracy and completeness of data and labeling requirementsu2022 Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and seals loaded truck doors.u2022 Directs movement of incoming and outgoing shipping and receiving to designated storage and work areasu2022 Tracks records of unfilled orders.u2022 Posts weight and shipping charges.u2022 Prepares bills of ladingThe Ideal Candidate Will Possess:u2022 Strong internal customer service skillsu2022 Strong organizational skills, excellent follow through u2022 Excellent project management and organizational skills, and proven ability to manage many multiple priorities and projects u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal audiences. u2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks on time u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlooku2022 Experience with an ERP a plus.u2022 High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.u2022 Prior experience in a shipping and receiving environment preferred but not necessary.
