20 - 178504 lmAu00a0housing authority is seeking a Paralegal to support the Legal Services Department with litigation, landlord tenant law, and document control.u00a0 Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. tou00a05 p.m.Job Responsibilities:- Conduct research of federal, state, local statutes, records decisions, legal articles, legal codes, other legal sources, and reference materials- Implement and administer evictionu00a0andu00a0general litigation dockets in support of legal staff- May assist preparing legalu00a0memoranda, pleadings, motions, affidavits, legal documents, briefs, contracts, reports for review, approvals, and signatures used byu00a0attorneys- File legal documents with local courts and recorder's office- Assist in preparing documents, exhibits, and pleadings for litigation; may review documents on behalf of attorney- Prepare legal descriptions for Declaration of Trust, and prepare real estate documents for home ownership program- Notarize legal documents as necessaryQualifications:- Must have, at the minimum, an Associate's degree- Must have 2 years Paralegal experience with a license- Must have the ability to accurately conduct research of federal, state, and local statutes- Must be able tou00a0assist preparing legalu00a0pleadings, motions, affidavits, legal documents, briefs, contracts, and reports- Must haveu00a0excellent organizational, customer service, communication, and telephone skills- The ability to multi-task while maintaining schedules isu00a0extremely important- Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment while paying a high attention to detail- Must be professional at all times- Must be fully vaccinatedu00a0againstu00a0COVIDu00a019Only candidates that can pass a background check will be considered.u00a0u00a0Area Temps still believes that the best way to serve both our employees and our customers is through personal service.
