Geotechnical Engineer Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead geotechnical investigations, analyze subsurface conditions, and design foundation and soil-related solutions to support safe and efficient construction. You will contribute to diverse projects including commercial, infrastructure, municipal, and federal developments, providing technical expertise from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil and rock sampling, field testing, and subsurface explorations. u2022 Analyze geotechnical data to evaluate site suitability, foundation conditions, and project risk. u2022 Design foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and other geotechnical systems. u2022 Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, recommendations, and technical documentation for clients and project teams. u2022 Perform construction materials testing and field inspections to ensure compliance with specifications. u2022 Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders. u2022 Utilize geotechnical software (e.g., AutoCAD, GeoStudio, Settle3, GRLWEAP) for modeling and analysis. u2022 Monitor construction sites, address field issues, and ensure adherence to safety and engineering standards. u2022 Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors to integrate geotechnical solutions into overall project design. u2022 Manage project budgets, schedules, and team resources as required. Minimum Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. u2022 Professional Engineer (PE) license required. u2022 3+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, subsurface investigation, or construction materials testing. u2022 2u20133 years of project management experience preferred. u2022 Proficiency in geotechnical software such as AutoCAD, GeoStudio, Settle3, GRLWEAP, or similar tools. u2022 Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design, retaining structures, and geotechnical principles. u2022 Experience with stormwater management, hydraulics, or water treatment systems is a plus. u2022 Familiarity with surveying, drafting, and site layout techniques is advantageous. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. u2022 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. u2022 Valid driveru2019s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
