Weu2019re looking for a Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) in Connecticut to work on exciting site investigation and remediation projects for government and private-sector clients in the Northeastern U.S. and elsewhere, as well as support major regional infrastructure and redevelopment projects. The position will draw on strong planning and communication expertise, as well as leadership in project management. In other instances, you may be a key team member joining multi-disciplinary teams on major projects. You should be a self-motivated professional with several years of demonstrated industry and task/project management experience, along with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or equivalent experience.A successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills along with relevant project management and regulatory expertise, in addition to successful financial performance and client satisfaction on their projects. You will spend most of your time managing projects and mentoring more junior members of your team. This position is a great opportunity for a candidate who is a self-starter and who is eager to grow in new and exciting ways.Hereu2019s What Youu2019ll Do:u2022 Lead and manage a project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract.u2022 Manage multiple projects and teams in a dynamic environment to meet schedule demands.u2022 Lead and support safety planning, chartering and implementation in the field. Be a strong advocate of Jacobs safety and quality culture.u2022 Coordinate the planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety and organization of contractors, subcontractors, and internal technical and support staff.u2022 Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance. Identify schedule and cost variances and develop and implement recommendations for corrective action.u2022 Communication and conflict management with internal project teams, other contractors, and client teams.u2022 Have strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.u2022 Act as one of the prime contacts with the client team and be responsible for overall work progress, technical performance, and overall client satisfaction with the projects. Actively seek and develop both follow-on and new work for additional work for the clients served.u2022 Work with project delivery leadership and support team development through coaching and mentoring.u2022 Coordinate planning, permitting, design, field implementation, and reporting activities with staff, subcontractors, stakeholders, and clients.u2022 Support other project managers and program managers in all aspects of delivering technically challenging projects for major client accounts. u2022 Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or a closely related field.u2022 A candidate who is a practicing Connecticut LEP.u2022 Demonstrated prior experience in managing environmental projects for private or government clients with a strong track record that includes planning, investigation, remediation, and monitoring of impaired properties under state and federal programs.u2022 The position involves travel in New England, primarily, but may also involve some travel outside of the New England area.u2022 Experience in remediation design and construction oversight considered a plus.u2022 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification and 8-hour refreshers up to date.#LI-AC4Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
