Accounts Payable

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This is a Contract to permanent position that requires on-site work, offering 40 hours per week from 8 AM to 5 PM. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing high-volume accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across multiple lines of businesses. Responsibilities: u2022 Verify invoices for accuracy and confirm proper authorization before processing. u2022 Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders and receiving documents. u2022 Enter invoice details into accounting systems with precision. u2022 Prepare and execute payments through checks or electronic transfers. u2022 Address vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in accounts. u2022 Maintain organized and detailed records of all accounts payable transactions. u2022 Assist in month-end closing tasks related to payable accounts. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial operations. u2022 Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in managing high-volume invoice processing. u2022 Familiarity with Great Plains accounting software is preferred. u2022 Strong skills in invoice coding and check run preparation. u2022 Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies effectively. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Availability to work on-site during standard business hours.
