Job Description Job Summary The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design of mechanical parts and assemblies. This person will work in a cross-functional development group. A variety of tasks and activities are required in this dynamic environment, and will handle some small-scale designs with guidance. This position will be based onsite at Vertiv's Westerville, OH - Polaris location. Responsibilities: Punctuality and regular attendance. Contribute to design projects and handle simple, tightly scoped design tasks with guidance. Create 3-Dimensional models using 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) package. Create and revise drawings and bill of materials Interact with employees, outside vendors and suppliers as needed. Build prototypes to support the development of product design. Other Duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or directly related degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required with Associate degree; Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of applicable engineering modeling tools. Technical knowledge of content primarily related to mechanical design Ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic team The anticipated salary range for this role in the MN locality is between $97,413 to $133,943 per year [IF ROLE IS NON-EXEMPT: (based on a 40-hour work week)]-salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to receive and/or participate in profit sharing, allowances, travel and/or car expenses, and earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization depending on the terms of the employee's role and individual offer details.
