FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 4 Shift Details:Days and PMS with a holiday rotation and weekend requirements JobSummary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), under the direction andsupervision of a Registered Nurse, provides delegated age appropriatecare in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner. The CNA assistspatients with the tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessmentrelated to basic nursing skills, personal care skills and basicrestorative services. The CNA practices and performs what was taughtduring their CNA training and certification or learned during basicnursing courses at an accredited school for professional nurses. The CNAmay be asked to provide continuous safety observation. This job reportsto the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager of the assigned unit andthe RNs on duty on each assigned shift. Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: State of Wisconsin Nursing AssistantCertification is required, otherwise must be currently enrolled in anursing program and able to provide documentation from an accreditedschool for professional nurses indicating successful completion of thebasic nursing course which encompass all of the criteria noted by theState of Wisconsin administrative code and a minimum experience of oneacute care medical/surgical clinical rotation. American HeartAssociation (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS)or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
