Senior Structural Engineer As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will act as a technical leader and trusted advisor, delivering innovative structural solutions across a diverse range of projects. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams, lead complex designs from concept through construction, support business development initiatives, and mentor developing engineers. Key Responsibilities u2022 Serve as the technical lead and engineer of record on structural projects, providing oversight and direction to project teams. u2022 Partner with clients to understand project goals and develop practical, creative, and code-compliant solutions. u2022 Review, approve, and seal engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with applicable codes and standards. u2022 Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development. u2022 Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and client relationship building. u2022 Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other consultants throughout design and construction phases. Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s or masteru2019s degree in civil or Structural Engineering (or related field). u2022 Minimum of 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience. u2022 Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required. u2022 Proven experience designing a variety of structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. u2022 Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and IBC. Skills & Abilities u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. u2022 Detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-focused. u2022 Proficient with structural analysis and design software and familiar with drafting/BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, EnerCalc, or similar. u2022 Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams. u2022 Solid project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities. u2022 Familiarity with construction practices and safety standards; willing to perform site visits as needed. u2022 Motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.
