We have an outstanding career opportunity for aSenior Structural Engineerto join a leading Company located in theMemphis, TNsurrounding area. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will act as a technical leader and trusted advisor, delivering innovative structural solutions across a diverse range of projects. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams, lead complex designs from concept through construction, support business development initiatives, and mentor developing engineers. Responsibilities : + Serve as the technical lead and engineer of record on structural projects, providing oversight and direction to project teams. + Partner with clients to understand project goals and develop practical, creative, and code-compliant solution s. + Review, approve, and seal engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with applicable codes and standards. + Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development. + Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and client relationship building . + Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other consultants throughout design and construction phases. Basic Hiring Criteria : + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field). + Minimum 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience. + Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required. + Proven experience designing a variety of structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. + Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and IBC. Desired Qualifications : + Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. + Detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-focused. + Proficient with structural analysis and design software and familiar with drafting/BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, EnerCalc, or similar. + Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams. + Solid project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities. + Familiarity with construction practices and safety standards; willing to perform site visits as needed. + Motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.
