Help at Home is Hiring a Bilingual Spanish Speaking Payroll Specialist for the NY market We offer weekly pay between $22.00-$25.00 an hour Office hours Monday -Friday 8:30am-5pm. The office address is: 148 39th St. Suite 19-4-BB Brooklyn, NY 11232. Our Benefits: + Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage + 401(k) retirement plan + Paid time off and holidays + Employee assistance programs and wellness initiatives + Flexible options to support a balanced life Responsibilities What You'll Do: + Process regular and off-cycle payrolls accurately and on time. + Review and input time and attendance data into payroll systems. + Assist with audits, reconciliations, and payroll reports. + Support payroll activities such as taxes, deductions, garnishments, and adjustments. + Help resolve payroll questions and issues from employees and internal teams. + Process bank returns, corrections, and manual checks as needed. + Assist with PTO and accrual processing. + Provide backup support to payroll leadership when needed. + Work with HR and Operations on onboarding and payroll documentation. + Follow payroll policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Qualifications What You'll Bring: + Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information. + Basic to intermediate experience with payroll systems. + Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) + Good communication and teamwork skills. + Ability to learn processes and systems with guidance. Education and Experience: + Associateu2019s degree or equivalent required. + Payroll experience preferred (2-5 years ideal). + Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required. + Prior office or administrative experience is required. Work Environment: + Sedentary u2013 ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. + Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with others to exchange information. Responsibilities include but are not limited to full cycle payroll processing, garnishment order interpretation and execution, routine interactions with the local market HR and payroll teams, assisting with communications to timekeepers, possessing an understanding of how the time entry and time accrual systems function, various analytical and reasonability for auditing.
