This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 60 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, criminal background check.u00a0JOB DUTIES:u00a0Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities.Crops/Commodities: Nursery stock, including mums, annuals, perennials, roses, fruit trees, berries, herbs, vegetables. Primary duties (performed the majority of workdays): This job requires a minimum of 2 months of prior experience working in a greenhouse handling both manual and machine tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Workers must be able to perform manual as well as mechanized activities with accuracy and efficiency. Plants, cultivates and maintains in condition for shipping and sale to customers, bedding plants/nursery stock. Workers will perform work including but not limited to planting, cultivating, hoeing, transplanting, mowing, watering in nurseries and seasonal holding houses. Fertilize, prune, spray, space, water, prepare soil, weed, mow, tag and perform other plant maintenance. Count and inventory plants. Propagate plants from cuttings. Plant and pot starter plants. Load finished plants onto wagons and trucks. Workers who are able to obtain drivers' licenses may be asked to drive light company vehicles to assist in transporting finished nursery stock to sales locations.
