Low Voltage Cable Technician

Description Weu2019re hiring a Low Voltage Cable Technician to support ongoing commercial projects across the New Orleans area. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with consistent work and a clear path to full-time employment for the right person. What Youu2019ll Be Doing + Install, route, and terminate low voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber a plus) + Perform cable pulls, labeling, and testing + Install and support systems such as: + Data & voice + Security cameras (CCTV) + Access control + Wi-Fi / wireless access points + Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and floor plans + Test and troubleshoot cable runs to ensure quality and performance + Work on ladders, lifts, and in commercial environments + Follow safety standards and job site best practices Requirements What Weu2019re Looking For + 1+ year of hands-on low voltage or structured cabling experience + Experience with Cat5e/Cat6 terminations + Ability to use basic hand tools and testing equipment + Comfortable working in commercial job sites + Reliable transportation and tools + Strong work ethic and attention to detail Nice to Have (Not Required): + Fiber experience + BICSI or other low voltage certifications + Experience with CCTV or access control systems Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.u00ae Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
