Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Job Description A leading global real estate and investment firm is seeking a Mobile Journeyman Electrician to support various sites in the St. Paul area and its surroundings. This role involves maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting electrical infrastructure, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in the electrical field and possess basic knowledge of other trades to effectively complete daily and weekly assignments. Responsibilities + Demonstrate knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and control-building equipment and systems required to operate and maintain electrical systems. + Plan and lay out work for assembling, installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of electrical apparatus, control equipment, and wiring used in industrial light and power distribution systemsu2014including generators, control panels, automatic switches, VFDs, complex circuit breakers, transformers, substations, and alarms. + Troubleshoot and correct faulty wiring or electrical issues in motors and other equipment. + Diagnose, repair, maintain, upgrade, and install all electrical and instrumentation systems. + Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings. + Collaborate with clients and maintenance staff to determine the safest and most efficient approach to work assignments. + Safely operate a wide range of hand tools and power tools. + Complete all documentation by required deadlines and accurately record work in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) in real time. + Perform all incidental or associated work required to complete assigned tasks. + Work with minimal supervision and communicate proactively with management. + Maintain work areas and equipment in a safe, clean, and efficient condition. + Adhere strictly to all safety rules and regulations. + Assist in performing duties across other trades as needed. Essential Skills + Licensed Journeyman Electrician + Valid Driver's License + 4 years of trade school or equivalent + 5+ years of electrical work experience + Ability to perform on-call duties + High School Diploma or equivalent Additional Skills & Qualifications + Willingness to participate in additional training on electrical vehicle charges, infrared scanning, and solar power systems + Experience working in critical environments, such as data centers (Preferred) Why Work Here? Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with the possibility of additional hours as needed. The position includes a company vehicle for a work radius within 1-2 hours of St. Paul. The goal is to complete work close to St. Paul/Minneapolis, allowing you to be home by 5 PM each day. Additionally, paid drive time is included. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.13/hr.
