Learn more at The Business Development Manager - Automotive Electronics is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the automotive electronics market segment. This role leads global growth strategies and works closely with OEMs and Tier1 suppliers to deliver differentiated adhesive solutions for control units, invehicle infotainment (IVI), advanced driverassistance systems (ADAS), and other automotive electronics applications. The position carries a clear objective to achieve doubledigit annual growth and expand revenue from approximately $12M to $35M over five years through strategic customer engagement, technical leadership, and crossfunctional collaboration. Primary Responsibilities Global Strategy & Market Analysis Develop and execute global business strategies to achieve doubledigit growth and meet the fiveyear revenue objective Conduct indepth market, customer, and competitive landscape analysis to identify highgrowth regions and applications Translate market insights into regional and global growth plans and optimize resource allocation Market Development & New Customer Acquisition Allocate approximately 60% of time to prospecting and new business development Identify and pursue strategic opportunities in automotive electronics applications, including control units, IVI, ADAS, and related systems Align internal teams, including R&D and Technical Service, to support longterm customer acquisition and growth Technical Solutions & Innovation Deliver comprehensive adhesive solutions for automotive electronics, including conformal coating, thermal management, potting, structural bonding, underfill, liquid encapsulant, and related technologies Ensure solutions meet customer performance requirements, regulatory standards, and H.B. Fuller innovation objectives Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain seniorlevel relationships with OEMs and Tier1 suppliers Develop longterm collaboration strategies based on deep understanding of customer business and technical needs Clearly communicate H.B. Fuller's value proposition and strategic fit Industry Standards & Compliance Demonstrate strong knowledge of automotive standards and quality systems (ISO, IATF) Support compliance with reliability testing requirements, including thermal cycling and vibration Negotiate commercial and technical agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes Project Management & Global Collaboration Manage complex customer and technical projects across global regions Coordinate crossfunctional teams including R&D, Supply Chain, and Customer Service Operate effectively in a global, matrixed organization Sales Process & Tools Consistently utilize Salesforce and pricing tools to manage pipeline, forecasting, and opportunities Develop and execute sales plans that optimize product mix, pricing, and service to drive profitability Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in technical, mechanical, electronics, chemistry, or marketing discipline Minimum of 10 years of business development or sales experience in automotive electronics or a closely related industry Proven track record of hunting new business and delivering sustained revenue growth Expertise in automotive electronics applications such as control units, IVI, ADAS, and related systems Strong working knowledge of automotive standards (ISO, IATF) and reliability testing requirements Exce lent communication, presentation, and problemsolving skills Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (travel percentage dependent on territory) Preferred Requirements Advanced technical or business degree Handson experience with adhesive technologies including conformal coatings, thermal management, potting, structural bonding, underfill, and encapsulation materials Compensation The base salary range for this position will vary depending on geographic location, including factors such as cost of living, market conditions, and local pay standards. Total compensation may also include variable incentives and a competitive benefits package, in accordance with H.B. Fuller's compensation programs. #LI-MM1 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $136,000 - $158,000. In addition to salary, this position is eligible to participate in the Sales Inventive Plan. In addition to your salary, H.B.
