ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSResponsible for planning, preparing, and delivering instruction andassessment of learning outcomes. Utilize engaging instructionalstrategies and methodologies which foster student success both in andoutside of the classroom. Maintain accurate student records andcommunication. Advise and support students as a mentor and role model inthe achievement of their learning and career goals. This includes beingaccessible to students outside of scheduled classroom time. Provideeducational leadership and work effectively with faculty,administration, and campus support staff. Maintain Faculty QualityAssurance System requirements and licensure required by other agenciesto maintain individual and program accreditation. Comply with Collegepolicies and practices related to instruction, assessment, and delivery.Additional duties and responsibilities will be discussed as needs arise.Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Course emphasis will be focusedon: Engineering & Design Process, Machine Tool Operation/Techniques, CNCMachining & Programing, Mold making, Rapid Prototyping, PrototypeFinishing, Laser Machining Operation, 3D CAD Software, ArchitecturalModel Design. Plan, recommend, and manage Prototype & Design capital andexpense budgets, while maintaining adequate inventory of materials andsupplies required for efficient function of the prototype lab. Engagestudents in service learning opportunities and student activities suchas various School & Program Clubs, and Industrial Field Tours. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAND WORK EXPERIENCE Associate degree in Prototype & Design; ModelBuilding or a related field and five years direct occupationale perience. At a minimum, occupational experience has to have occurredat least 1 year within the last 5 years. Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD,Solidworks, SurfCam, and various Microsoft Office programs. Occupationalexperience may include: Principal Model Maker Manager Model Shop ProjectManagement Experience Preferred Qualifications: Previous teachingexperience with adult learners is preferred Skills and Abilities:Student Success: Demonstrate behaviors and actions that support studentrecruitment, retention, and student success initiatives. PHYSICAL DEMANDSExtended Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods while working on acomputer or attending meetings Mobility: Ability to move around thecampus to attend meetings and events Manual Dexterity: Proficiency inusing hands and fingers to handle or operate office equipment, tools, orcontrols. Visual and Auditory: Ability to read documents and communicateeffectively with students and staff. Light Lifting: Capability to liftand carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
