Position Responsibilities:Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of components on truck andtrailer reefer units. Maintaining transport refrigeration unit on trucksand trailers by performing diagnostics using scanners, electronic testequipment, and onboard computers. Supports the company's collegerecruiting efforts by developing relationships with partner universitiesand participating in recruiting activities to attract students to jobopenings. Completing preventive maintenance, component replacement, andservice to refrigeration equipment. Maintains truck and trailerrefrigeration units and trucks APU by reviewing shop orders. Repairingfailures; removing, replacing, and testing for Freon leaks, assemblingand installing parts and components involving soldering, welding, andthe use of refrigeration equipment. Installing various new units ontrailers, trucks, and vans. Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications: Required Education: High School Diploma/GED orEquivalent Required Experience: 3+ year's experience working on ThermoKing or Carrier reefer units. Must be 608 certified. Must havespecialized training and experience in the overhaul of refrigerationcomponents. Proficiency in the use of all necessary tools of trade isrequired. Must have ability to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit andregularly lift or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift or move up to100lbs/45kg. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule and workat the specific location. Excellent verbal and written communicationskills. Must own your own tools. Preferred qualifications: PreferredProfessional Certification(s): Master Certified, Thermo King or CarrierCertification, 608/609 certifications Preferred Experience: 3+ year'sexperience with tractor trailer maintenance. Master Certified.
