Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Dr. CoxSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:Dayton Childrenu2019s Hospital, a freestanding, independent, Level I trauma center childrenu2019s hospital in Dayton, Ohio, is recruiting for a full-time Pediatric Palliative Care Physician Leader to serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Palliative Care. This is an employed position and includes a very competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package. This is a unique opportunity to lead, grow, and transform a comprehensive palliative care program at a mission-driven childrenu2019s hospital known for excellence, collaboration, and heart. Department Specific Job Details: Position details include: + Dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with experience in pediatric palliative care + Consultative inpatient and ambulatory care + Home Care based program for patients nearing end-of-life + Dedicated social work support + Multi-disciplinary support from chaplain services, child life, and psychology + Supportive and nurturing environment with staff and other subspecialties Candidate Qualifications + Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship, + Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine + Eligible for or able to obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license + MD or DO candidates will be considered. + Demonstrated leadership ability or strong interest in program development and mentorship. + Excellent communication skills and desire a long-term, stable leadership role About Dayton Childrenu2019s At Dayton Childrenu2019s, every team member is united by one mission: the relentless pursuit of optimal health for every child within our reach. Residents in adult neurology, pediatrics, medicine/pediatrics, family practice, child psychiatry, emergency medicine, orthopedics, and surgery train at Dayton Childrenu2019s.
