The selected candidate will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years.The successful candidate will have a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching and will be expected to teach large lecture courses for both majors and non-majors in our Introductory Biology series, coordinate labs, and train graduate teaching assistants. In collaboration with Kentucky high school teachers, the faculty member will also be responsible for developing and teaching introductory courses in our dual-credit biology program. Qualified candidates should be proficient in multi-modal instructional delivery and knowledgeable of evidence-based educational practices. Depending on departmental needs, the Lecturer may also have opportunities to mentor undergraduates in research and to teach more advanced undergraduate courses in their area of expertise.
