This position is a team member requiring a cooperative manner, working under direct supervision. Work situations are basically routine in nature yet require a service-oriented individual, organization of time and equipment, independent decision making in the execution of daily routine duties, and prioritization of multiple tasks. Internal contacts occur on a daily basis and may include patient care providers and Materials Management staff. External contacts are limited but may include patients, vendors, rental companies/agencies, other health care facilities, and physicians.RequirementsHigh School graduate or equivalent preferredCompletion of Central Service Technician course of study or completion of healthcare organization training program, as required by location; military training or experience satisfies this requirement for WA state employees, per Title 18 RCWCentral Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by locationMinimum one (1) year of related experience preferredAbout Deaconess HospitalFounded in 1896, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region.
