Location: Vancouver, Washington Type: Contract Job #8360Overview:ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Business Analyst 3 position will provide business and risk analysis support and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the Safety Organization, its stakeholders, and various department representatives to analyze the Safety Organization's business model framework for alignment with agency goals and safety strategic initiatives. This will be achieved through analysis of collected data, policy and program reviews, and the assessment of incidents and safety concerns. The position will apply technical business and risk analysis expertise to identify early indicators of potential hazards and support the agency in taking proactive measures to mitigate risks, thereby preventing harm to employees and business partners. Additionally, this role will support benchmarking studies to identify and recommend the implementation of consensus best practices and methodologies into work planning to ensure the organization accomplishes its strategic business goals. Perform analysis of data collected from safety databases pertaining to training, incident assessments, safety concerns, agency safety surveys, employee interviews, and available information regarding work environments and conditions as part of identifying opportunities to improve the organization's safety culture and safe work environment. Proficiency in using Power BI tools to manage data from various data sources, manipulate data for desired analysis, and produce deliverables in a scalable format for a wide range of audience. Perform analysis of safety policies, programs, and work standards through the agency decision framework to support executive decision-making processes to reduce agency risks to an acceptable business level. Evaluate and recommend methods and procedures for the development of safety initiatives for business processes. Identify and communicate areas of opportunity to improve effectiveness of data collection, tracking, and trending. Analyze data collected from routine and task-based hazard identification processes to assist the verification that occupational hazards are identified, assessed, controlled, and monitored by agency adopted consensus standards.
