Supervise every stage of the drilling process to extract oil and natural gas from deep underground; Continuous on-site inspection, detection, and evaluation of the rock units as they are being drilled. Identify and characterize the drill cuttings to determine the presence, and the position of hydrocarbons (oil & gas) with respect to depth and to verify the drill bits position relative to the targeted zone; Real time evaluation of gas hydrocarbons and its constituents using the Bloodhound Gas Detection and Chromatograph system; Identify drill caving's, pyrite or mud motor rubber and communicate their presence to the Company Man on location as a preventive measure to the integrity and stability of the well; Ensure the integrity of the gas detection equipment, including the poly-flow line, and the mechanical gas trap are functioning properly; Create Well Plans based on the interpreted data of the well location, and efficiently communicate the plan to the directional driller onsite; Create a graphic log, a.k.a. a Mud log, that will include, but not limited to: drilling parameters (rate of penetration, pump rate, pump pressure, weight on bit, rotary speed, rotary torque, revolution pers minute of the drill string, stroke per minute (for mud volumes), mud weight, mud viscosity), lithology descriptions, presence of oil shows, drilling parameters (rate of penetration, weight on bit, Slides, mud weight, pump parameters), Gamma ray, total gas (C1 through C4), and survey data; Perform elemental analysis of the reservoir rock using a handheld XRF while drilling to insure efficient drilling in the hydrocarbon target zone; Identify hazard drilling zones based on the retrieved cuttings coming back on the surface while drilling and communicating it with driller onsite; Identify oil shown in the targeted formation at different depths in the targeted reservoir area; Identify formation tops based on the projected gamma ray of the drilled formation; Create daily reports of the on-site drilling operation activity and end of well report; Identify faults while drilling oil & gas wells; and Report technical petroleum operation data to the oil & gas acquisition company representative.u00a0Domestic travel may be required approximately 50% of the time to remote wellsite locations in Ward County, Texas, including Pyote, within the Delaware Basin, as well as to other unanticipated client sites across the United States.
