Working in collaboration across a team of practitioners, you will ensure the best possible health care outcomes and patient experiences.ResponsibilitiesYou will assist in providing direct patient care as directed by health care practitionerYou will engage your critical thinking skills in maintaining a safe, therapeutic and aesthetic environment.You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocolsCollaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reductionFoster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care teamAdvocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgroundsRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDCurrent Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C or successful completion of EMT Training CourseMA-P or EMT will be required to obtain NA-R within ninety 90) days of hireCNA, NA-R, or EMT will be required to obtain MA-P within a specified date as determined by location; Mary Bridge Hospital and Yakima locations does not require the MA-PCurrent BLS CertificationPrevious experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, or EMT, in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting within the last three (3) years preferredAbout Valley HospitalMultiCare Valley Hospital is a 123-bed, fully accredited acute-care hospital in Spokane Valley, featuring a Level III Trauma Center, comprehensive surgical, inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic services, and advanced cardiac care.
