Overview: We are seeking an Attorney to join our dynamic Energy Department with flexibility to work out of our Bismarck, Fargo, Des Moines, Madison, or Minneapolis offices, specializing in examination of title to real property. In this role you will work on a diverse range of oil and gas and renewable energy projects, with a focus on oil and gas title examination. You will be responsible for examining title records, determining ownership to surface, mineral, and leasehold interests in numerous tracts of land, researching and analyzing unique title issues, and drafting complex title opinions. Our firm's practice represents a broad spectrum of clients, including oil and gas operators, renewable energy developers, independent power producers, independent transmission companies, traditional utilities, and more. Candidates with oil and gas and/or real estate experience are encouraged to apply, and specific experience with oil and gas title examination is a plus. While our ideal candidate would have 3-8 years of experience and a creditable/billable hours expectation between 1,600 - 1,775 hours, we are open to considering candidates with more experience and/or lower hours expectations.
