CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Business Development Leader to join our Generation & Energy Management Team working remotely. This is your opportunity to influence market direction, elevate CHA's presence, and drive meaningful energy transformation across the U.S. What You'll Do: Lead strategic growth efforts across the Generation & Energy Management market, strengthening CHA's visibility and competitive positionDevelop and execute targeted sales strategies aligned with organizational business goalsIdentify, pursue, and cultivate new business opportunities across Municipalities, Universities, Schools, and Hospitals (MUSH), Utilities, Federal, and Aviation sectorsManage client database (CRM), generate leads, and follow up to maintain a robust opportunity pipelineDevelop compelling content for social media, proposals, conferences, and marketing campaignsRepresent CHA at industry conferences and maintain a strong network of industry connections, fostering relationships with executives, engineering leaders, and decision-makersCollaborate with leadership teams to support proposal development and strategic pursuit decisionsProvide market updates, sales forecasts, and strategic insights to senior leadership What You Bring: Bachelor's degree in related engineering field; or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredMinimum of 10 years of experience in engineering consulting, business development, sales, or a related role within the MUSH, Utilities, Federal and Aviation markets requiredExpert understanding of State and/or Utility energy efficiency programs and renewable energy initiativesExperience working with engineering firms, contract manufacturers, or renewables solutions providersProven experience writing and leading proposals to meet client expectationsStrong industry network and active involvement in professional conferences and market associationsExceptional communication skills-persuasive, engaging, and effective across all audiencesAbility to translate technical concepts into compelling business value for clientsStrong analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to identify trends and shape market approachesDemonstrated success driving revenue growth, securing long-term contracts, and expanding market shareAbility to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and balance multiple prioritiesCommitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and advancing CHA's visionAbility to inspire, motivate, and build relationships across the company, including with C-suite executives, procurement teams, and engineering leadersWillingness to travel extensively across the Northeast required Why You'll Love It Here: Join a mission-driven organization committed to sustainability, innovation, and community impactWork alongside passionate technical experts and forward-thinking leadersContribute to solutions that improve our world-cleaner energy, resilient systems, and sustainable infrastructureCurious about the impactful work our Generation & Energy Management team is doing?
