Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position. Position Summary: Carestream Health has an opening at its 1049 Ridge Road, Rochester, NY manufacturing facility for a person with 3+ years experience, additional requirements listed below for skills, education and physical requirements. The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient flow of materials within the facility. This position is responsible for moving inventory in and out of various locations within the building, including the dock, warehouse, parts market, and manufacturing floor. This position is critical for maintaining adequate levels of inventory on the shop floor to ensure continuous production and minimize production downtime. Carestream is seeking an experienced operator with experience in material handling and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems to correct the root cause. Position Responsibilities: Monitor inventory locations to ensure appropriate levels of partsUtilize problem solving skills to solve inventory inaccuracies and correct root cause issuesPerform physical material movements, including moving materials with a fork truckAccurately enter material movements into SAP to ensure real-time inventory visibility and traceabilitySafely use powered industrial trucks (PITs) or other equipment to load, unload, and transport materialsFollow established procedures for material handling, storage, and documentation to support operational efficiency and regulatory compliancePerform cycle counts as needed to verify inventory accuracyDemonstrate strong communication skills through escalation of issues with the potential to cause manufacturing down timeEnsure a clean and organized workspace by performing 5S activities and filing paperwork in a timely mannerAssist others within the team and organization to solve problems and improve processes Required Skills & Education: High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 3+ years of experience in material handling or warehouse operations.Prior experience with SAP or similar ERP systems requiredStrong attention to detail and accuracy in documentationProficient in using material handling equipment. This position requires forklift license or willingness to train to obtain one (Carestream will provide training if needed)Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory transactionsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsComfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures Desired Skills: Familiarity with OSHA regulationsForklift CertificationExperience using lean manufacturing principles and tools (5S, Kaizen, QAS, FMEA, etc.) to improve processes and material flowAbility to identify and resolve discrepancies in ship
