Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Dallas, Texas, on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in tax preparation and review, seeking to expand their leadership capabilities. As part of a collaborative and dynamic team, you will oversee diverse tax engagements, manage client relationships, and contribute to the development of entry-level staff. This is a 4-6 week contract position. Onsite in Dallas, Texas Tax Manager (contract position): Responsibilities: u2022 Review and manage tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, S-Corps, and C-Corps to ensure accuracy and compliance. u2022 Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level staff, offering support in their tax preparation and review tasks. u2022 Lead quarterly tax planning initiatives, including the calculation of estimated taxes. u2022 Assign and oversee workloads for internal staff and outsourced resources to maintain efficiency and quality. u2022 Collaborate with firm leadership to enhance internal processes and promote team productivity. u2022 Conduct first-level reviews of staff-prepared tax work, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results. u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to address complex tax issues and provide strategic advice. u2022 Foster a positive and growth-oriented team environment to support collaboration and accountability. u2022 Remain up-to-date on tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising clients accordingly. u2022 Utilize advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel to streamline tax preparation and reporting. + Must have hands-on experience with: + CCH Access + CCH Engagement + CCH trial balance software + No training provided u2013 candidate must be fully proficient. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services. u2022 Proven expertise in tax preparation and review across various entity types, including individuals, trusts, and partnerships. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software systems, including CCH ProSystem. u2022 Advanced skills in Excel, with the ability to perform complex calculations and data analysis. u2022 Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with clients and support team collaboration. u2022 In-depth understanding of partnership taxation, S-Corps, and trust and estate tax compliance.
