Our expertise spans traditional electrical contracting, security solutions, audio-visual integration, wireless networking, and building management systems.The Assistant Project Manager at Miller Electric supports the Project Manager in coordinating electrical projects, including sports lighting installations. This client‑facing role focuses on learning through hands‑on experience whileassistingwith project planning, communication, and execution across a variety of electrical scopes.Essential Job FunctionsAssistin estimating project scope and costsManage projects with subcontractorsCommunicate with clients and subcontractorsAttend and activelyparticipatein project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as requested orrequiredResearch and preparation of change requests to resolve design issues for approvalResearch and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences, and errors/omissionsMonitor field work and/or contract work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications, and codesAssistwith the submittal processAssistin the tracking and completion of billingElectrical Sports Lighting Responsibilities:Support planning and coordination of sports lighting installation projects, including stadiums, athletic fields, and recreational facilitiesAssistin reviewing lighting layouts, photometric designs, pole layouts, and fixture specificationsCoordinate with lighting manufacturers and suppliers to ensureaccurateprocurement of sports‑lighting equipmentMonitor installation of lighting poles, fixtures, controls, and underground/overhead feeds to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standardsHelp manage scheduling and sequencing of lighting work to align with field conditions and project milestonesSupport aiming, testing, and commissioning of sports lighting systems, including light‑level verificationIdentifyand help resolve design or field issues related to mounting heights, lighting uniformity, wiring methods, and control systemsMaintain documentation and updates for sports lighting submittals, RFIs, change orders, and checkout packages.Education & ExperienceREQUIREDA College degree, journeyman’s license, or master electrician’s licenseUnderstanding of electrical installationsStrong computer skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsAble to work independently as well as in a team environmentApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
