Offering an unmatched, 360-degree solution set for a collection of world-class owned venues and a client roster that includes the most influential, highest attended arenas, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions on the planet.TheMarketing Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of all marketing efforts at the Plaza Theatre, including: advertising, media buying, interactive media, ticketing analysis, social media, promotions, public relations, and grassroots efforts while creating and maintaining relationships with media, promotional partners, and clients. The role will also build digital marketing campaigns, including email and social strategy. The Marketing Manager reports directly to the venue Director of Marketing.This role pays an annual salary of $75,000-$80,000Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays)This position will remain open until April 24, 2026.The Historic Palm Springs Plaza Theatre located in the heart of Downtown Palm Springs, California, re-opened on December 1, 2025 after a $34 million dollar restoration. The theatre hosts 120+ events per year including hosting the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Palm Springs Symphony, Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, Modern Men: Coachella Valley Men’s Chorus, Palm Springs Pops Orchestra, Modernism Week, Palm Springs Jazz Festival and many national touring acts. The theatre capacity is 700 seats.Develop, maintain, and coordinate event and facility advertising programs and opportunitiesPrepare clear and concise advertising/marketing/sponsorship inventory reportsImplement and administer public relations model; plan, organize, and coordinate all public relations efforts for the facility and its eventsManage social media sites on an on-going, daily basis and engage in conversations across social channels with guests, artists, local media, etc. while building followers and engagementAssist in creating basic venue graphics along with the Director of Marketing and vendorsMonitor the venue’s website and make updates and edits as requiredExecute successful email campaigns including creation, editing, and pulling statisticsServe as on-site marketing department representative for designated events, with duties including but not limited to: social media tasks, serving as the venue PR representative, media coordination and escorting, house photographer coordination and escorting, etc.Engage in pre-event advance conversations with promoters or artist media teams to prepare for all event marketing needsCoordinate, purchase, and prepare promotional items such as nightly brochures, giveaways, etc.Coordinate, purchase, and prepare gifts for artists, promoters, partners, etc.Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writingEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with lessees/clients, co-workers, part-time staff, contractors, patrons/public and municipal officialsWork a flexible schedule, including long nights, early mornings, weekends & holidays as neededCreate and maintain detailed media budgets, settlement documents, and recap summaries for facility eventsCoordinate, execute and participate in community events and outreach programsOther duties and responsibilities as assigned3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in a theatre, convention center, stadium, arena, or public assembly facility settingBachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in marketing, communications, business, or related field, or equivalent career experience.Bi-lingual a plusStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, word processing, and InternetExperience in digital creative programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid drivers’ licenseFriendly, can-do attitude and flexibilityKnowledge of operational characteristics of eventsFamiliarity with terminology used in entertainment/convention/public assembly settingsAbility to work both indoors and outdoors as required by event.Ability to work extended periods of time both walking and/or standing.Ability to lift up to 25 lbsAt OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
