This position is a resource to enhance the reliability of asset protection systems and to support EHS across the plant.The Electrician will provide support to the Asset Protection Team assigned to Engineering Maintenance.In addition, the individual will be expected to participate in WCM, CI events, asset care plans, RCFA, and PM optimization activities.Job Qualifications: Greater than 1 year experience in EM Department preferredCurrently Pay Grade 7 preferred (or higher)Able to work well with others one on one & in groups/team settingsReceptive to feedback/input from process, operations, engineering, peers etcGood communication skillsDemonstrates ability to transfer knowledge to othersDemonstrates passion and enthusiasm for improving equipment reliabilityResponsibilities:Fire/Hazard Detection and Suppression (all types) - Installation and MaintenanceHazard audits across plantSupport for breakdowns outside normal working hours Assist Engineers/Project Managers with all aspects of projects including commissioning Train, mentor and guide fellow craftsmenFollow up on reoccurring problems to improve reliability including design changesWork with vendors on specific equipmentAssist with Electrical documentation (DCN’s, etc)Work with planners/schedulers to ensure that adequate spares are on site and in BOMDevelop/Update and publish JIs, Checklists, PMsAssist with predictive and precision maintenance Reports to Assoc EMRA - Asset ProtectionEntering time on WO’s as needed based on work done that day, entering notifications, TECO WO’s with notes.Occasionally assist other maintenance teams in EM with project installs and manpower needsProvide site support for periodic loss prevention visits and audits as required (both NNA and external)Attend certification training on system installation and applicable NYS CodeSupport other plants in similar discipline if neededNovelis Oswego is located in northern Central New York on the shores of Lake Ontario and employs approximately 1200 people.
