Seeking a Moderateu2013Severe Special Education Teacher outside of Sacramento, California Marysville, California Full-Time On-Site Ku20138 Caseload W2 Contract $45u2013$50/hr Standard School Hours Overview We are seeking a dedicated Moderateu2013Severe Special Education Teacher to support Ku20138 students with intensive learning needs in Marysville, CA. This in-person role provides specialized academic instruction, individualized supports, and collaborative services aligned with each studentu2019s IEP. Marysville is a historic Northern California community with rich cultural sites, family-friendly activities, and easy access to nearby cities. What Youu2019ll Do + Provide specialized academic instruction for students with moderateu2013severe disabilities across Ku20138 grades. + Adapt and modify curriculum, instruction, and assessments to meet individualized needs. + Implement behavior support strategies, communication systems, visual supports, and structured instructional routines. + Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, behavior teams, and families to ensure services in the least restrictive environment. + Maintain compliant documentation including IEPs, progress reports, assessment summaries, and service logs. + Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning. + Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours/week + Setting: 100% on-site, serving students in both general and special education environments Required Education & Certifications (California)Education Specialist Instruction Credential u2013 Moderate/Severe Disabilities Candidates must hold one of the following: + Education Specialist Instruction Credential with a Moderate/Severe (or Moderate/Severe Disabilities) authorization, following Californiau2019s two-tier system (Preliminary ? Clear). + Completion of a Commission-approved program meeting Californiau2019s subject-matter, pedagogy, and fieldwork requirements. This credential authorizes instruction and services for students with more intensive support needs across Ku201312 and through age 22. Preferred Experience & Skills + Experience supporting students with moderateu2013severe disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, ASD, orthopedic impairments, or multiple disabilities. + Strong collaboration and communication skills. + Familiarity with functional academics, ADL instruction, AAC, sensory supports, and behavioral intervention strategies. + Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary IEP team.
