Radiology Technician (RT)

Radiologic Technologist u2013 Mammography Location: New York Pay Range: $27.00u2013$40.00 per hour (based on experience) Employment Type: Full-Time Direct Hire Position Overview The Radiologic Technologist u2013 Mammography is responsible for producing high-quality breast imaging in accordance with American College of Radiology (ACR) standards and established clinical protocols. This role requires a patient-focused technologist who can work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary imaging team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Perform mammography procedures in alignment with ACR guidelines and departmental protocols + Obtain routine and additional imaging views while ensuring patient comfort and safety + Review images for accuracy and quality prior to physician interpretation + Serve as a point of contact for patients throughout the imaging process + Accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record + Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff + Troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and support quality control initiatives + Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications + Completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program + ARRT (R) certification required + Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license required + Mammography experience preferred; certification may be obtained within two years of hire if not already held + Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EHR/EMR systems + Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team-based environment Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Technologist/Mammography Department Manager.
