Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for an LPN in Batavia, NY. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below Location: Batavia, NY (onsite) Type: Direct Hire Pay range $27-$27/hour + medical, health, dental, 401K benefits Schedule: Days, 7am - 7pm RESPONSIBILITIES Record the patientu2019s history. Give medication as necessary as prescribed by the physician. Take vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight. Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas. Give injections of medications. Provide immunizations. Enter patient information into computer systems as necessary. Ensure patients and families understand release instructions. Assist in oversight of Technicians. Monitor fluid/food intake and output. Observe patient reactions to medications. Observe patient mental health status. Provide emotional support. Assist with patient daily needs. Shift differential for overnights. QUALIFICATIONS Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of New York. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Must have a current BLS/CPR/First Aid certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire. Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine the appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies. Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies. Experience in substance abuse/mental health environment preferred, but will consider recent nursing school graduate. Must have excellent customer service skills. In general, individual state practice acts require that the LPN must work under the supervision of a registered nurse. The LPN will protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the companyu2019s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a health care provider. Failure to comply with the companyu2019s policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. The LPN may access protected health information (PHI) and other patent information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties. The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a need to know specific patient information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other operations. Basic computer skills in word processing, e-mail, and Internet use, and experience with electronic health record. Must be addiction free including nicotine. This is an hourly nonexempt job. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP Nurse Manager or his/her designee. Valid NYS driveru2019s license and method of transportation required. Must be addiction free, including tobacco. Pre-employment background check/post offer drug screening required. CARF and NHSC accredited.
