Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Fort Pierce, FL Position Type: Full-Time Nights (Rotating Weekends) Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Compensation: $30.34 u2013 $41.50 per hour (based on years of experience) Bonus: Available on a case-by-case basis Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis Position Overview The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in an acute care hospital setting. This role delivers diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services in accordance with professional standards, scope of practice, and state regulations. The RRT is an essential member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team and supports patients requiring invasive and noninvasive respiratory support. Practice Environment + Acute care hospital setting + Broad range of inpatient and outpatient services + Adult and pediatric patient populations + Critical care and emergency response involvement Key Responsibilities + Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressures + Conduct diagnostic procedures to assess patient needs and response to respiratory therapy + Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy + Assist with placement and management of artificial airways + Initiate, monitor, and manage invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation + Monitor patient response to therapy and intervene as appropriate + Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients + Respond to emergency situations to maintain airway integrity and provide adequate ventilation during resuscitation Qualifications + Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP) required + Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire Benefits + Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance + Paid time off and paid family leave + Retirement savings plan with employer contribution + Life, short- and long-term disability insurance + Education assistance and professional development opportunities + Employee wellness and financial support resources + Optional supplemental insurance offerings Pay Details: $30.34 to $41.50 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
