Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Canton, Ohio. This is a fully onsite, contract-to-permanent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational abilities and a commitment to accuracy in all financial processes. Key Responsibilities: + Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices with accuracy, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. + Maintain positive relationships with vendors by handling inquiries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. + Complete weekly check runs and verify payment accuracy, ensuring timely disbursement. + Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, utilizing a two-step matching process to validate transactions. + Work across multiple accounting systems, such as Tay BM and QAD, to support both manual and automated AP workflows. + Organize, analyze, and report data using Excel; demonstrate intermediate to advanced Excel skills. + Code and process invoices in accordance with company policies to ensure proper recordkeeping and compliance. + Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency. + Provide responsive customer service to both external vendors and internal stakeholders. + Maintain documentation and records in an organized and readily accessible manner to support audit and reporting requirements. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role. u2022 Proficiency in processing invoices and performing check runs. u2022 Strong skills in coding invoices and ensuring proper documentation. u2022 Experience with 3-way matching processes. u2022 Familiarity with multiple vendor management and communication. u2022 Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. u2022 Knowledge of QAD or similar systems is preferred. u2022 Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
