Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Cornelius, North Carolina. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the overall accounting operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and file corporate tax returns in compliance with federal and state regulations. u2022 Manage sales tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Oversee general ledger activities, including account analysis and adjustments. u2022 Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support. u2022 Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement solutions. u2022 Respond to inquiries from auditors and regulatory bodies. u2022 Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all accounting activities. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Familiarity with corporate tax regulations and filing processes. u2022 Experience with sales tax compliance and reporting. u2022 Proficiency in recording journal entries and general ledger management. u2022 Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. u2022 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. u2022 Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
