Job Description

Job Summary The Systems Administrator supports, maintains, and administers enterprise systems, infrastructure, and application environments. This role is responsible for responding to system-related incidents, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing effective solutions. The Systems Administrator ensures that systems are functioning efficiently and securely while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support technology operations across the organization. Essential Functions + Supports and maintains enterprise systems, servers, applications, and related infrastructure. + Responds to hardware, software, and network incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution. + Performs system monitoring, maintenance, and patching to ensure optimal performance and compliance. + Maintains accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions. + Participates in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours technical support as needed. + Promotes system security, user access controls, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. + Collaborates with IT teams and business stakeholders to evaluate and implement technical solutions. + Assists in the deployment and configuration of new systems and upgrades to existing infrastructure. + Follows change management protocols and participates in testing and validation processes. + Identifies and shares best practices with peers and supports continuous improvement initiatives. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Maintains regular and reliable attendance. + Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications + H.S. Diploma or GED required + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred + 2-4 years of experience in systems administration required + Experience supporting a mid to large-size enterprise environment preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux server administration. + Strong understanding of system security, backup, and recovery procedures. + Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). + Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking concepts. + Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. + Strong communication and customer service skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. + Strong organizational and documentation skills.
