MANAGER OF ER, REGISTERED NURSE Location: Independence, MO 64057 Position Type: Nursing Pay: $53.12 - $61.99 (heavily based on years of experience) Shift: Evenings: 4pm-midnight Monday-Friday (call will rotate every three weeks) Specialty: RN Charge/Supv - Nursing Administration Job Summary u00b7 The Clinical Manager responsibilities include providing leadership for and management of the clinical service area. u00b7 u00b7 The service area will be centered on the care of the patients on a continuum related to a patient care event. u00b7 Responsibilities include clinical, financial, environmental and employee related functions of the service area. u00b7 The Clinical Manager is responsible for conducting themselves as a professional role model, being a clinical resource for and acting as liaison with the medical staff. u00b7 Other functions include keeping department operation within budgetary boundaries, compliance with all regulatory requirements and human resource issues. u00b7 Responsible for integrating their departmentu2019s services with the hospitalu2019s primary functions. u00b7 Coordinates and integrates services within the department(s) and with other departments. u00b7 The Clinical Manager develops, implements and evaluates policies and procedures that define scope of service and guide and support the provision of services. u00b7 Recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care/service and assures the qualifications and competence of those staff members meet the needs of patient care and non-patient care services. u00b7 Hires and evaluates new staff, provides for orientation, in-service training, continuing education and annual evaluation of all personnel in their department(s). u00b7 Oversees any disciplinary processes and termination of employees in their department(s). u00b7 The Clinical Manager is responsible for ensuring staff receives ongoing information/updates on the department and hospital levels. Qualifications u00b7 Will look at 2 years of recent (within the last year) Acute Care ED Charge RN with strong ED experience u00b7 Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date u00b7 Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date u00b7 Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date u00b7 Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date u00b7 (RN) Registered Nurse u00b7 Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma Benefits Centerpoint Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
